INTEGRATOR OF NEW AND USED ROBOTS FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION

Robotic Automation: Foundry Applications

The harsh conditions and jobs common to foundries, forge shops, steel mills, and many automotive plants are well-suited to robotic automation.

Foundry robots
increase safety, productivity, and efficiency. Designed to work in hot, hazardous environments, foundry robots can withstand high levels of dust as well as exposure to harsh chemicals and high-pressure sprays.

Foundry robots typically bear ingress protection ratings of IP67, especially at the wrist. Special paint, seals, grease, and even pressurized motors allow foundry robot models to thrive in the harshest of settings.

Foundry Applications:

Material Handling Applications:
machine tending
part transfer
insertion
coremaking
diecasting

Dispensing Applications:
pouring
ladling
blasting
water jet cleaning
die spraying

Finishing Applications:
deburring, trimming, chiseling
cleaning castings
painting
polishing
machining: milling, sawing, drilling
