The Motoman CR3 Clean Robot is a six-axis vertically articulated robot made for cleanroom applications.
The CR3 is Class 1 approved for the highest clean environmental conditions according to Federal standards. It has a wide freedom of movement for handling work. With 6 degrees of freedom, this robot is able to handle workpieces in situations where 2- or 3- axis horizontal type robots would have difficulty.
The Motoman CR3, CRJ, and CR3J were built to handle a variety of handling applications in a clean environment. Nine cables (for tool operation) and three air lines (two for air supply and one for exhaust) run up to the wrist and are built in to eliminate dust. Two internal solenoid valves also serve for tool operation.
The MOTOMAN-CR3X has a high degree of freedom for handling wafer cassettes, hard disk cassettes, and small LCDs.
