The reversed lower arm of the Motoman MA1650T allows for a large working envelope while conserving floor space. The through-arm cabling is designed to maximize cable life and improve weld performance. Cycle times are reduced as a result of using high performance Sigma V AC servo motor control and Advanced Robot Motion (ARM) control.
The MA1650T was designed with arc welding applications in mind. A feeder cable and welding utilities, such as the gas and air hoses, can be routed through the robot base. A hollow upper arm maintains the optimum bend radius and cable interference is reduced during T-axis rotations. This unique arm design prevents bent, pinched, and stretched cables, minimizes wire feed problems, and optimizes weld performance.
