For any heavy duty mate­r­i­al han­dling, machine tend­ing, or spot weld­ing job, the ABB IRB 6640ID-200 IRC5 is here to get the job done. It is com­pact, with amaz­ing iner­tia abil­i­ties, and per­fect­ly designed to fit into com­pact places with it’s 2550 mm reach and abil­i­ty to ful­ly bend over back­wards. The ID mod­els (Inter­nal Dress­ing) have cable rout­ed inside the upper arm to help reduce any exter­nal cable swing­ing dur­ing work­ing hours. The ID helps to increase motion con­trol and dress pack life­time, reduce the foot­print even more, and also decrease the spare part cost. 

Main­te­nance should be a breeze with the soft­ware pack­age avail­able (which includes True­Move and Quick Move) to help with load mon­i­tor­ing and ulti­mate­ly elim­i­nate the risk of an over­load. These pro­grams also help the robot to achieve a more pre­cise path per­for­mance, and most impor­tant­ly, longer life. Addi­tion­al­ly, the IRB 6640ID-200 has out­stand­ing iner­tia capa­bil­i­ties, top of the line col­li­sion resis­tance, and sim­pli­fied fork lift pockets.

Safe­ty and pro­tec­tion are tak­en care of with a vari­ety of pro­tec­tion options avail­able such as Foundry Plus 2 or Foundry Prime 2, load iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, mov­able mechan­i­cal stops, elec­tron­ic posi­tions switch­es (EPS), and a stiff steel structure.
