Flesh and Machine are Teaming Up at ICRW 2016

Feb 10, 2016

The International Collaborative Robots Workshop in Boston, Massachusetts is a two-day event that provides an inside look at the next-generation robots. The collaborative robot series from all manufacturers seem to be unstoppable as they are bringing huge transformations to the robotic industry. Collaborative robots do not require any safety barriers or fencing and include advancements in sensors, software, and EOATs.

Come one, come all, to the forefront of a dynamic and revolutionary robotic era!

On May 2 and 3rd, 2016, there will be an International Collaborative Robots Workshop in Boston, Massachusetts. This two-day event will give the most up-to-date information about the new kid on the block, collaborative robots, also known as cobots!

These next-generation robots take advantage of both human and machine strength and are able to work with or alongside people to expand human capabilities.

By definition, collaboration is The action of working with someone to produce or create something.” This is is the exact purpose of collaborative robots; no longer will there be a need for a divided workplace between people and robots. Flesh and collaborative machine can now safely and effectively work together in an uncaged environment. It is awesome to see man and machine team up for a faster, safer and more effective workplace!

The cobot movement seems to be unstoppable as they are quickly transforming the robotic industry with huge advancements in their sensors, software, and EOATs that are constantly increasing capabilities and applications. For these reasons, collaborative robots seem to be one of the biggest ROIs to come. They have huge economic benefits to firms by easing difficult human tasks while also enabling workers to focus and bring the company their 100%, undivided, individual skill set.

Fanuc is one of the first to dive into this new collaborative robotic technology with the production of their heavy lifting collaborative robot. The CR35iA has the ability to lift up to 35kg, making it the strongest collaborative robot, thus far, in the industry!

For all these reasons, this will be a workshop you don’t want to miss! You will witness the latest and greatest collaborative robot technology from leaders who are on the cutting edge of this exciting new technology. Real-life experiences will be shared from current cobot users, new ideas and market strategies will be shown through these technological advances, and you will be able to experience it all, first hand! Also featured will be numerous presentations on applications, safety implications, and human impacts.

Going to events like these is a great way to connect to a robotic community and meet with other people in the industry who share your curiosity, passion, and interest. So cheers to collaboration and happy trails to Massachusetts!
