The ABB IRB 6600ID is engi­neered to offer excep­tion­al robot sim­u­la­tion reli­a­bil­i­ty. One of the most path accu­rate and posi­tion reli­able robots in its class, the IRB 6600ID IRC5 is ver­sa­tile and reli­able. The ABB IRB 6600ID is equipped with process cables rout­ed inside the upper arm. The cables will fol­low every motion of the robot arm instead of com­ing into swing. This will advance cable life­time pre­dic­tion. The elec­tric motor, artic­u­lat­ed ABB IRB 6600ID IRC5 has unique motion con­trol to opti­mize the accel­er­a­tion and retar­da­tion to make the short­est cycle times possible. 

The IRB 6600ID IRC 5 series of robots have the high­est iner­tia per­for­mance, leav­ing it suit­able for han­dling heavy and wide work­pieces. The robot has an elec­tron­i­cal­ly sta­bi­lized path, an active brake sys­tem and is self tuning.
