The reversed low­er arm of the Motoman MA1650T allows for a large work­ing enve­lope while con­serv­ing floor space. The through-arm cabling is designed to max­i­mize cable life and improve weld per­for­mance. The MA 1650T DX100 Motoman weld­ing robot cycle times are reduced as a result of using high per­for­mance Sig­ma V AC ser­vo motor con­trol and Advanced Robot Motion (ARM) control.

The MA1650T was designed with arc weld­ing appli­ca­tions in mind. A feed­er cable and weldingutil­i­ties, such as the gas and air hoses, can be rout­ed through the robot base. A hol­low upper arm main­tains the opti­mum bend radius while cable inter­fer­ence is reduced dur­ing T‑axis rota­tions. This unique Motoman welder MA1650T DX100 arm design pre­vents bent, pinched, and stretched cables, min­i­mizes wire feed prob­lems, and opti­mizes weld performance.
