Motoman VS100

The VS100 is a great option for high-den­si­ty lay­outs to help reduce cycle times as it pro­vides a flex­i­ble reach and large range of motion with its sev­en degrees of free­dom. This robot­’s slim design is flex­i­ble and ben­e­fi­cial for auto­mo­tive appli­ca­tions as it can use DC spot guns with com­pact ser­vo actu­a­tors. It can result in short­er pro­duc­tion lines, the elim­i­na­tion of mul­ti­ple sta­tions, and tinier spot weld­ing work­cells as it can be placed in close prox­im­i­ty to oth­er robots. 

The VS100 can car­ry a pay­load up to 100 kg (110 kg with­out the spot har­ness), has a 2,236 mm hor­i­zon­tal reach and a 3,793 mm ver­ti­cal reach, with a ±0.12 mm repeata­bil­i­ty. The spot har­ness is inte­grat­ed to help reduce main­te­nance and facil­i­tate pro­gram­ming. The E‑axis was added to help cre­ate a vir­tu­al vari­able length L arm and pro­vides the abil­i­ty to reori­ent the manip­u­la­tor axes with­out chang­ing the gun posi­tion. This arm can also fold down into a very low profile.
