As part of a fam­i­ly of six-axis artic­u­lat­ed elec­tric ser­vo dri­ven robots, the Fanuc S‑420S robot is designed to han­dle a vari­ety of spot weld­ing, machine load and un-load­ing, seal­ing, mate­r­i­al han­dling, and parts trans­fer. This robot has a heavy wrist load capacity.

There are sev­er­al robot mod­els avail­able in the Fanuc S‑420 series, includ­ing the S‑420S. They fea­ture absolute encoder posi­tion­ing and brakes on all axes and a slen­der pro­file. The heavy-duty machine tool-type con­struc­tion of the S‑420S built to with­stand and oper­ate in the most severe plant envi­ron­ments. The arm joints are anti-fric­tion bear­ing mount­ed and there are safe­ty lim­its switche for over­trav­el protection.

The S‑420S can use either an RJ or RJ2 Fanuc robot controller. 

There are also used Fanuc S‑420S robots avail­able through Robots​.com. Every used S‑420S has gone through an intense refur­bish­ment process, bring­ing it back to mint condition.

Whether you pur­chase a new or used S‑420S robot, it has the largest range of motion and least back space in its class along with a com­pact body; it will not disappoint!
