Fanuc M-2000iA/2300

Are you look­ing for a robot that can lift prod­ucts that weigh more than 5000 pounds? If so, then you should look no fur­ther than the Fanuc M‑2000iA/​2300. This robot is the strongest lifter in the Fanuc fam­i­ly, with a pay­load capac­i­ty to lift 2.3 met­ric tons of prod­uct — mean­ing it could eas­i­ly lift an entire car and move it to a dif­fer­ent area on the fac­to­ry floor.

Like oth­er mem­bers of the Fanuc M‑2000 fam­i­ly, the M2000iA/​2300 is able to per­form a wide range of mate­r­i­al han­dling appli­ca­tions, includ­ing machine tend­ing, part trans­fer, machine load­ing, etc. It can also be used in mate­r­i­al removal appli­ca­tions. The robot also gives man­u­fac­tur­ers more flex­i­bil­i­ty in their han­dling appli­ca­tions. Some­thing that may have been impos­si­ble to lift by man­u­al work­ers, can now be lift­ed and moved with swift and easy motion by one robot. This can not only improve cycle times for a com­pa­ny, but it can also reduce the pos­si­bil­i­ty of some­thing dam­ag­ing the prod­uct. The steady motion of the robot, with its low vibra­tions, mean that the jerk­ing move­ments of cranes or oth­er lifters are things of the past. The low noise lev­el and mod­er­ate pow­er con­sump­tion (8kW) are also ben­e­fits that the M‑2000iA/​2300 bring to the table.

The M 2000iA/​2300 also sports a pret­ty impres­sive pro­tec­tion rat­ing. The IP54 (IP56 option­al) rat­ing means that the robot body is splash-proof and dust-proof, while the wrist and J3 axis are able to with­stand even more dust or water with an IP67 rat­ing. This means that the wrist can be immersed in water up to 1m, with­out mal­func­tion­ing. By choos­ing the IP56 rat­ing for the body of the robot, man­u­fac­tur­ers can use low pres­sure water jets for cleaning.

While the foot­print of the mas­sive M‑2000iA/​2300 may take up some space (1540mmX1480mm), its con­troller does not. The robot comes with an A‑cabinet mod­el of the R‑30iB con­troller, which means it is com­pact and stack­able, which saves the man­u­fac­tur­er some room. It can even be placed under exist­ing struc­tures on the fac­to­ry floor, like con­vey­ors. The con­troller is also avail­able in the larg­er B‑cabinet upon request.
