Shielded Metal Arc Welding Robots

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is a common and reliable manual welding process. SMAW robots produce high quality welds at a lower cost.

Sometimes referred to as stick welding or manual metal arc (MMA), SMAW creates an arc between a consumable electrode covered in flux and the material being welded. The weld is shielded from contamination by the flux. The protective shielding gives this arc welding method greater resistance to varying conditions such as wind.

Robots.com sells a variety of both new and reconditioned Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Stick Welding robots. Every used system is constructed to match client specifications.
