Motoman’s YRC 1000 com­pact con­troller is one of the small­est robot con­trollers around, but it is ready to impress with it’s any­thing but small” per­for­mance. You can expect high speeds, amaz­ing path accu­ra­cy, incred­i­ble effi­cien­cy, and great flex­i­bil­i­ty with the YRC1000. The I/O com­mu­ni­ca­tion speed is improved by as much as 50% by low­er­ing lad­der scan time, result­ing in mproved work efficiency. 

Addi­tion­al­ly, it has glob­al stan­dard­iza­tion which means there is no trans­former required for input volt­ages rang­ing from 380VAC to 480VAC. Main­te­nance is also sim­pli­fied by offer­ing pre­ven­ta­tive main­te­nance infor­ma­tion and pow­er­ful soft­ware tools for analy­sis and notification. 

This con­troller has been improved in a vari­ety of ways, such as increas­ing the speeds by low­er­ing a lad­der scan­ning time. Also improved is the path accu­ra­cy that pro­vides increased pre­ci­sion and tra­jec­to­ry per­for­mance, inde­pen­dent on motion speed. The pro­gram­ming pen­dant weighs a mere 730 grams, to enable eas­i­er use by the oper­a­tor. There is a smart­phone-like touch oper­a­tions on the inter­face, allow­ing the user to 3D sim­u­late robot motion before or dur­ing exe­cu­tion of the real robot arm. Addi­tion­al­ly, the ser­vice staff can direct­ly con­nect to the user inter­face for remote ser­vice pur­pos­es. The YRC 1000 cab­i­net dimen­sions are 598 mm W x 490 mm H x 427 mm D with a weight of 70 kg. 

The teach pen­dant has a weight of 0.73 kg, IP54 pro­tec­tion rat­ing, and the user inter­face sup­ports touch oper­a­tions. Before and dur­ing oper­a­tion, a 3D sim­u­la­tion of robot motion can be dis­played and main­te­nance staff can direct­ly con­nect for remote ser­vice purposes.
