What Is Required For Shipping A Robotic System?

Standard Shipping Requirements

Unless otherwise specified, the customer must arrange and pay for an enclosed air-ride box truck. The truck must meet these specifications:

  • Entrance height of at least 110 inches
  • Width sufficient to accommodate a forklift for loading/unloading
  • Enclosed design to protect the industrial robot during transport

Oversized System Requirements

Over-sized systems that require a flatbed truck must be weather-proofed with a heavy-duty plastic tarp. Extra charges for this weather-proofing option may apply.

Documentation and Damage Handling

For insurance purposes, customers must state "Extraordinary Value Declared" on the Bill of Lading, Shipper, and all other shipping documents.

If shipping damage is observed:

  • Take clear photographs documenting the damage
  • Contact Robots.com and the shipping company immediately
  • Do not handle or unpack the system until documentation is complete
