Motoman EP4000D

The six-axis, Motoman EP4000D is designed for press room use as it is an ​“Expert Press” robot that has high vibra­tion rat­ings. It is shelf-mount­ed and fea­tures a 200 kg pay­load, 3,505 mm hor­i­zon­tal reach, and a 2,629 mm ver­ti­cal reach. This extend­ed reach enables these robot to con­duct press­es with press pitch­es of up to 9 m. The EP4000D is a slen­der robot that allows it to fit and work into tight spaces, while also sav­ing valu­able floor space. It fea­tures cast iron cast­ings and can reach 12 strokes per minute with a press pitch of 6.5 m. 

If need­ed, there are addi­tion­al options avail­able such as the Par­al­lel Link Tool (PLT) that extends the robot­’s reach by 1,650 mm. while also reduc­ing inter­fer­ence between robot arm and the die. The PLT also allows the dies to be loaded at the same time, oth­er­wise they need to be rotat­ed 180 degrees. 

Over­all, the Motoman EP4000D is a fast, stream­lined, and pow­er­ful robot ready to do your next press job. It is paired with the pow­er­ful DX100 con­troller that has the mul­ti­ple robot con­trol which can sup­port up to 8 robots/​72 axes.
