Motoman ES200RD II

The six-axis ES200RD II is a high-speed, shelf-mount­ed robot that is designed for opti­mal per­for­mance for heavy loads (up to 200 kg) and machine/​press tendin­gap­pli­ca­tions. Any incon­sis­ten­cy that may be caused by the man­u­al oper­a­tion of process­es such as turn­ing, milling, or grind­ing, will be avoid­ed when using the ES200RD II to auto­mate. In addi­tion, the shelf mount­ing fea­ture and com­pact, slim design both help to save valu­able floor space, while also expand­ing the work envelope­which gives bet­ter access to parts. The cable and air lines will have a longer life as they are rout­ed through the robot base to the upper arm. This design, and the Func­tion­al Safe­ty Unit inte­grat­ed into the DX200 con­troller, are key safe­ty features. 

Ver­sa­til­i­ty was an impor­tant char­ac­ter­is­tic to the design­ers, this is reflect­ed in the ES200RD II as it can be used for load­ing and unload­ing of parts, can help with ​“jig­less” appli­ca­tions, and can han­dle mul­ti­ple types of mate­ri­als such as ceram­ics, com­pos­ites, met­als, and poly­mers. Also, the ES200RD II has excel­lent accel­er­a­tion and fast axi­al speeds that will increase the over­all through­put. Amaz­ing­ly enough, these high speeds take up 70% less pow­er con­sump­tion dur­ing motion, and 25% dur­ing idle peri­ods com­pared to pre­vi­ous models.
