ARCITEC is an arc welding system solution to increase the overall quality of your automated process. The arc welding robot controller is integrated with the weld power source; these communicate through a fast CAN/Devicenet bus. ARCITEC can work with a variety of welding applications such as short arc, spray arc, and short-pulsed arc.
ABB’s ARCITEC is a system solution for arc welding where the robot controller (S4Cplus) is highly integrated with the weld power source. The controller and power source communicate through a fast CAN/Devicenet bus. The power source has a built-in database and calculation tool for weld parameter values.
All programming is completed through the robot teach pendant. ARCITEC can perform the following welding processes: short arc, spray arc, and short-pulsed arc.
ARCITEC II, the latest generation of fully integrated power sources, has full synergic functionality. It is designed for the robotic MIG/MAG welding of materials used in metal fabrication industries. Digital communication gives fast and accurate control of the welding process.
ARCITEC II has more than 300 method/material/wire diameter/shielding gas combinations developed specifically for robotic welding. All welding parameters can be individually tuned by turning off the synergic functionality for more demanding applications.
The ARCITEC II system power sources provide superior welding properties for different materials with minimum spatter.
