Does your factory need sealing robot automation?
Figuring out your sealing needs is important before determining if your production line can benefit from automated robotic sealing. There are two big benefits to robotic sealing and that includes increased product quality and decreased material costs.

There are several benefits to bringing sealing robotics to your factory. However, there is a bigger question that you need to answer before you ever begin automating with sealing robots – is your factory a good candidate for sealing robot automation?
There are several factors about robotic sealing that can be seem as disadvantages or limiting to the manufacturer, depending on the facility being used. Some of the limiting factors can be things like parts presentation, amount of dissimilar parts, amount of material required, size and shape of parts and differing materials for parts.
Basically, before deciding to automate with robotic sealing systems, you need to consider your current production model, and how it may need to be changed to allow for the integration of sealing robotics. Can you have part repeatability? Do you have pieces that will be manufactured over and over again? Are the parts too small or two large for a robotic sealing application? These are some of the questions you will have to answer, and you will possibly have to change your production model to fit the robot, instead of having the robot fit the model.
However, while there are some limitations, there are also several advantages to having robotic sealing in your facility. Two of those benefits are an increased quality and decreased material costs. The quality of the sealing process is enhanced with robotics because there is consistent coverage all around the area where sealant is applied. This is not always the case with manual applications. Also, because of this consistency, there is less sealant used during the robotic sealing application, which cuts down on the amount of sealant needed for production.
All in all, if your factory and production model can handle sealing robot integration, your company can reap the benefits of this kind of automation.
