The IRB 920T/IRB 920 stands out with its class-lead­ing speed, boast­ing a cycle time of just 0.31 sec­onds, which is 14 per­cent faster than its pre­de­ces­sor, the IRB 910SC. This enhanced speed reduces cycle times and increas­es pro­duc­tion rates, mak­ing it one of the fastest SCARA robots in its class. Its excel­lent repeata­bil­i­ty ensures top-tier man­u­fac­tur­ing qual­i­ty with min­i­mal or zero wastage, opti­miz­ing efficiency.

Weigh­ing only 24 kg, the IRB 920T/IRB 920 is 10 per­cent lighter than oth­er SCARA robots in its cat­e­go­ry, reduc­ing the need for addi­tion­al mate­ri­als and low­er­ing cell design costs. The inter­nal rout­ing of all cables elim­i­nates cable inter­fer­ence, result­ing in a com­pact foot­print that min­i­mizes instal­la­tion space requirements.

The robot also offers up to 20 I/O con­nec­tors, allow­ing for the use of sophis­ti­cat­ed grip­pers and end effec­tors for more com­plex appli­ca­tions. With rich con­fig­u­ra­tion options, includ­ing 450, 550, and 650 mm reach choic­es and an extend­ed stroke of 300 mm, the IRB 920T/IRB 920 can han­dle a wide range of oper­a­tions. Addi­tion­al­ly, the larg­er diam­e­ter air hose pro­vides extra pow­er for vac­u­um suc­tion, enabling the han­dling of mul­ti­ple objects simultaneously.
