Fanuc S-900i

The Fanuc S‑900i series is a fam­i­ly of heavy-lift­ing, high-per­for­mance indus­tri­al robots; S‑900iH, S‑900iL, and S‑900iW. All of these six-axis, heavy-duty robots are also avail­able by Robots​.com as used mod­els. The used Fanuc S‑900i series has under­gone a com­plete recon­di­tion­ing process, bring­ing it back to new condition. 

The new and used Fanuc S‑900i series robots were devel­oped to tack­le hard jobs like mate­r­i­al han­dling, spot weld­ing, and large object han­dling. They are also ide­al for cast­ing operations.

These high-speed robots are con­trolled by Fanuc RJ3 con­trollers, which pro­vide point-to-point posi­tion­ing and smooth con­trolled motion. The S‑900i can use either the RJ2, RJ3 or R‑J3iB controller.

New and used Fanuc S‑900i robots have high-iner­tia wrists with large allow­able moments that make them suit­able for heavy-duty work in harsh envi­ron­ments. Their slim J3 out­er arms and wrist pro­files per­mit these robots to work in restrict­ed space, and their small foot­prints and small i‑size con­trollers con­serve fac­to­ry floor space. Many attach­ment points are pro­vid­ed on their wrists for process-spe­cif­ic tools, and axes J5 and J6 have pre­ci­sion gear dri­ves. All process and appli­ca­tion cables are rout­ed through the arm, and there are brakes on all axes. 

New and used Fanuc S‑900i robots sup­port stan­dard I/O net­works and have stan­dard Eth­er­net ports. Process-spe­cif­ic soft­ware pack­ages are avail­able for var­i­ous appli­ca­tions. Options include B‑size con­troller cab­i­nets, addi­tion­al pro­tec­tion for harsh envi­ron­ments, a pre­ci­sion base­plate for quick robot exchanges, and inte­grat­ed aux­il­iary axes packages.

Over­all, the large S‑900i RJ3 is flex­i­ble enough for small­er envi­ron­ments as it fea­tures a small foot­print and com­pact con­troller. The slen­der arm of the S‑900i reduces inter­fer­ence with parts and oth­er periph­er­als. Speed and per­for­mance of the S‑900i are enhanced by reli­able Fanuc ser­vo dri­ves. The Fanuc S‑900i RJ3 wrist is pro­tect­ed from harsh envi­ron­ments and many process attach­ment points make inte­gra­tion fast and simple.
