This was espe­cial­ly impor­tant when hav­ing to shoot film of the actors rolling through space uncon­trol­lably. With the help of the robot arms, the crew was able to pull off remark­able shots that made the tum­bling into the vast­ness of space look all too real. By using robots behind the scenes, the direc­tor was able to set a new stan­dard of mov­ing mak­ing in Hollywood.
