ABB IRB 6620LX

The ABB IRB 6620LX is a gantry arm robot designed to rev­o­lu­tion­ize appli­ca­tions that include mate­r­i­al han­dling, injec­tion mold­ing, and die cast­ing. These cus­tomiz­able lin­ear sys­tems can cost-effec­tive­ly per­form these tasks and more. This sys­tem com­bines the advan­tages of a lin­ear gantry with the flex­i­bil­i­ty of an artic­u­lat­ed arm. The over­head mount­ing of the IRB 6620LX IRC5 con­serves floor-space and widens the work enve­lope and allows the robot to reach more effectively.

The gantry unit is avail­able in lengths up to 33 meters and heights up to 4 meters. The arm can then either be mount­ed on the side or invert­ed for the most effect angle. The IRB 6620LX IRC5 includes a 5‑axis arm with Foundry Plus pro­tec­tion. It is IP67 rat­ed, while the lin­ear axis is IP66 protected.
