These robots have inte­grat­ed through-the-arm cabling which improves weld accu­ra­cy and torch access while reduc­ing down­time. Motoman also intro­duced the first 7‑axis arc weld­ing robot.

Their pop­u­lar VA1400 mod­el is flex­i­ble and can reduce floor space and achieve high­er robot den­si­ty for increased pro­duc­tion. Its unique elbow arm axis allows the robot to reach around tall parts or into parts. The MA1400 reduces weld­ing cycle time due to ser­vo motor con­trol tech­nol­o­gy and is ide­al­ly suit­ed for use in high-den­si­ty work­cells with mul­ti­ple robots work­ing togeth­er. The KUKA KR 5 arc is the per­fect robot for stan­dard arc weld­ing tasks. The KR 5 – 2 arc HW and KR 16 arc HWare the spe­cial­ists for arc weld­ing due to the hol­low wrist and sev­er­al oth­er fea­tures. The KR 6 – 2 has a fist-shaped work enve­lope and is ide­al for space-sav­ing con­cepts. The KR 16 – 2 is ver­sa­tile and works well with most man­u­fac­tur­ing indus­tries.
