iR Vision (also iRVision or iRvision) is a 2D vision system from FANUC Robotics. It is extremely useful for applications such as assembly and pick and place.
Instead of relying on costly and complex sensors and customized fixtures, Ir Vision offers plug and play simplicity. Parts no longer need to be secured or oriented a specific way. Equipped with vision guidance software, robots can easily locate and reorient parts.
A standard FANUC R-30iA controller feature, Ir Vision is easy to install and use: simply load the software and connect a camera and cable to the main CPU board.
