What is a PLC?
PLC stands for Programmable Logic Controller. This miniature industrial computer interfaces robot system components, making sure everything runs smoothly.
While not necessary for every robot workcell, a PLC is recommended for many robot systems, especially those that are more complex. A valuable interfacing component, PLCs manage the communications between controllers, parts positioners, robots, safety peripherals, and more.
